ASSELA CALENDAR Coming up: 2010-2012(For NIOSH-ERC, OSHA, UCLA events see below)
California Steel Industries in Fontana is hosting the ASSE Inland Empire Section meeting on Wednesday, October 27, at 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. The meeting is to include a Safety, Health & Environmental update PLUS a plant tour of the amazing California Steel production "hot line" or one of the galvanizing lines. Plan on a total of at least 90 minutes for this event. Space is limited to 35.Personal Protective Equipment ("PPE") items are mandatory for the plant tour. Please bring these items if you have them: 1. Hardhat 2. Safety glasses (California Steel can provide this) 3. Closed toed shoes (no heels) 4. Long pants 5. Long sleeve shirt 6. Hearing protection as required (California Steel can provide this) There are no exceptions on the PPE. Parking: Park in the cafeteria parking lot. California Steel will transport you from there to the meeting room. Breakfast: The meeting room is brand new and will offer you a buffet breakfast. Plan on $12 for the breakfast. Cash or checks only please. Presenter and Host: Brad Bray, Manager, Safety & Plant Protection, California Steel Industries, Inc. Lorenzo Jackson, Chair of the Inland Empire Section of ASSE, will provide attendees with an update on Section activities, future meetings, and future topics. Once the group is done with the tour, the guests will be transported back to their cars in the cafeteria parking lot.
